Gonville Place pelican crossing is heavily used by cyclists. At many times of day, more cyclists use it than pedestrians.
The split, staggered, two stage arrangement leads to very high levels of crossing against a red light - I counted 95% in one observation. It also leads to a lot of people crossing in the shadow of the island, as this cyclist is doing.
This needs to be converted to a single stage, straight toucan crossing.
